It's set a few years in the future (in the DC Universe) and it actually pulls off a concept that renders Superman vulnerable... not vulnerable in terms of his powers, but vulnerable because his absolute guiding principle, the sanctity of human life, has seemingly rendered him redundant according to the morality of the modern world - a world where he a "hero" who simply kills the Joker outright is hailed as the future, and Batman and Superman's failure to do the same decades before is seen as a weakness that cost the lives of hundreds of victims (including Lois Lane, incidentally).

Now, there's a story that managed to make the man of steel interesting......

Comics, eh? I'd recommend the Bruce Jones written Hulk books for just this kind of approach... they go off the boil a bit towards the end, but the first few hardly feature the Hulk at all - and when they do, you know it.Rolhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02103804480646939038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1750120863647373520.post-90431789732725151582008-10-21T05:09:00.001+01:002008-10-21T05:09:00.001+01:00*top two**top two*Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1750120863647373520.post-49441036029952118842008-10-21T05:09:00.002+01:002008-10-21T05:09:00.002+01:00Oh man, now I'm going to have to go through th...Oh man, now I'm going to have to go through the entire list of 200....
