hope

You know, I think it comes down to compassion:

I want a society where no one is hungry or homeless or scared; where no one is sick without hope of treatment or understanding. I want to believe in the best of people and not the worst. I want to be part of a society that reaches out a helping hand to people who need one, wherever they might have come from, and where everyone contributes according to their means. I believe in hope and I believe we're capable of so much better.

I'm not sure that any of the parties in tomorrow's ballot entirely represent that, but some of them are a lot closer to it than others and don't let any of those other fuckers drag you down into the mire with them.
