  3. I just don't understand how a man like Bush can be expected to run a country. How can people honestly believe that he is a great leader and not some half-brained f*ckwit.

    ...getting angry now!!!

How can people put up with him??

  5. What will historians make of Bush in years to come? Those facts and figures sum up just how astonishing it is that the US and UK and the "coalition of the self-righteous" have got away with it.

  6. I (heart) Noam Chomsky. He always says what I am thinking, only way more succinctly.

  7. Adem - several reasons. a lot of people have this mentality that if you are elected president, you have godlike wisdom, and opposition to that makes you unpatriotic and a hater of your own country.

And most people now do believe he's an asshat. Polls a few months ago put him at an approval rating that was almost on par with Nixon's before he resigned. Doesn't get much worse than that.

  8. One last comment...watching the news last night, they had a numbers count a bit like this....the difference? Well, it seems that only Americans counted: they compared the number dead in the WTC collapse with the number of US soldiers who'd died in Afghanistan and Iraq. No, no, we're not narrowly focused, at all.
